On May 19th, 2016, a momentous event took place at the studio of Radio Nepal, where a song with a profound environmental message was recorded. The song serves as a powerful reminder of how human greed and unchecked activities are adversely impacting our natural world. This campaign was meticulously organized with the goal of attempting to set a record in the esteemed Guinness World Records under the title of “Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording.”
The campaign gained even greater prestige due to the participation of revered veteran artists who have dedicated their entire lives to the pursuit of music. Their presence not only added credibility to the project but also underscored the significance and urgency of the message being conveyed.
The song tackles global environmental issues, such as problems related to the environment, biodiversity, and climate change, while providing a unique perspective from the vantage point of Nepal. By contemplating and raising their voice on these pressing matters, the creators of the song aimed to increase awareness and understanding of the environmental challenges faced by the country and the world at large.
With the inspiring slogan “Raise Voice, Save Earth,” the song serves as a beacon of hope, nurturing the possibility of instilling environmental awareness in the hearts and minds of people. It seeks to encourage individuals to take action and collectively work towards protecting and preserving our planet.
Titled “Melancholy,” the song was recorded by a group of highly acclaimed Nepalese creators, initiators, singers, and composers. Their combined talents and passion for this cause ensured that the song carried a profound emotional impact, leaving a lasting impression on the listeners.
SEEM Nepal takes great pride in this remarkable accomplishment, as it represents a significant milestone in Nepal’s history.
