Currently, SEEM Nepal is primarily focused on implementing awareness programs in the public sector to foster environmental consciousness and promote responsible actions. Municipal waste management is another area of focus for the organization, as it seeks to address the challenges associated with waste disposal and promote sustainable practices in this regard.

Moreover, SEEM Nepal is extensively involved in the study and research of underground water systems, butterflies, medicinal plants, and the impact of development and infrastructure on declining species.

The organization also investigates topics such as carbon exchange, greenhouse gases, agricultural lands, and terrestrial ecosystems. By conducting research in these areas, SEEM Nepal aims to generate valuable insights and scientific knowledge that can inform decision-making processes and contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources in Nepal.
