SEEM Nepal is actively involved in implementing programs focused on the long-term management of municipal solid waste. A key area of emphasis for the organization is the effective handling of organic waste. Through seminars, community training, and hands-on workshops, we are dedicated to providing practical knowledge and education to raise awareness and promote sustainable waste management practices across various settings. The organization employs different composting techniques, including compost manure and non-compost methods, to produce fertilizer from urban rotting waste. Additionally, SEEM Nepal explores the utilization of biogas for compost production and encourages the adoption of urban agricultural farming and rooftop farming systems in municipalities, city areas, schools, and communities. By promoting the conversion of urban waste into valuable resources like organic fertilizer, SEEM Nepal plays a crucial role in reducing environmental pollution, improving soil health, and fostering a more sustainable approach to waste management.
